This piece shows someone taking their power back. Being able to hold a piece of what fought you and owning that moment of victory is powerful, which is what I wanted that character to show. Anger can make people do things they’re going to regret later but in this short narrative, wrath instead is being showcased. Wrath creates a motive. The grave was already made, and the motive to punish what hurts was set.
